Forest Hill

Forest Hill offers numerous opportunities for sport and recreation. Nunawading Aqualink is one of Melbourne’s foremost leisure facilities, catering for all ages with a wide range of activities including: swimming tuition, holiday programs, gymnasium, group fitness classes & creche facilities.

Local parks & reserves include Felicia Dale, Forest Hill Reserve (home to the local football club The Forest Hill Zebras, and Forest Hill Cricket Club), and Mahoneys Reserve where numerous sporting clubs are based, including: Nunawading Cricket Club, Nunawading Cricket and Soccer Club & Nunawading City Football Club.

The closest secondary school, Forest Hill College, is located in Burwood East.

Parkmore Primary School and Parkmore Preschool are both located on Jolimont Road. Parkmore Primary School is part of the CERES Sustainable Schools Program, looking at ways to reduce energy and water use in the school, and reduce waste by re-using and recycling materials.

Brentford Square Shopping Centre has a lovely community vibe and offers many conveniences including: Safeway, cafes, takeaway outlets & restaurants, banking facilities, post office and newsagency. There is even a playground to keep the kids entertained.

Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre includes a number of major retailers (Coles, Target, Harris Scarfe, Big W & Safeway). On the 3rd level Hoyts cinemas, a Tenpin Bowling Centre (AMF), and The Chase Hotel provide various entertainment options.

Global Television’s Melbourne studio is located in Forest Hill. The TV program “Neighbours”  is produced here, so don’t be surprised if you bump into cast members while you’re doing your shopping at Forest Hill Chase – they have been known to drop in there during a break from filming.

Bus services are available in Forest Hill, and passengers can alight at Mitcham, Nunawading or Blackburn train stations and catch a connecting bus to Forest Hill Chase. Route 765 Mitcham Station to Box Hill travels via Brentford Square SC and Forest Hill Chase.
